This is going to be a short post. It's the top 3 things I had the chance to learn while watching the Gold Cup match between Canada and El Salvador the other night.
1) Paul Sutton is the goalkeeper for Canada. I don't know when they made the change from Greg Sutton, but he looked alright -- a few "oops" moments, but overall, not a bad performance from Paul.
2) Will Johnson is 27 years old. I certainly need to know what he's doing to stay so young looking.
3) Dwayne De Rosario, surprisingly, is on the Canadian team. Now despite reports to the contrary, Dwayne is actually on the squad. He isn't playing, but he is on the squad. Why wouldn't they play him? I think he's certainly good enough to play.
There you have it. I am looking forward to the game on Friday against Costa Rica to find out some new tidbits. I'll share those with you on the show on Sunday evening.

Same guys who informed us in the 2007 Gold Cup, that Steve Nash was playing a defensive midfield role for Canada.
I have to say that their gaffs make their play by play almost entertaining. Almost.

GolTV also informed me during the Honduras-USA match that Robbie Rogers was the "...uh... motor oil that makes this offense go!"
Make sure you get an oil change every 5,000 kilometers, or between every Gold Cup group stage game.
